Social Media Strategy
When we first started growing Rowan + Sage, we had zero presence on any of our social media platforms. We converted an existing personal Instagram account with 488 followers comprised of friends and family at the end of November 2017.
By September of 2018, the Rowan + Sage Instagram grew to over 10K followers and continued to reach more and more people every single day. As of July 2019, the Rowan + Sage Instagram:
Has a following of over 20.2K authentic users in R+S’s target audience.
Gains 545 new followers weekly, on average.
Earns an average engagement rate of 2.93% per post.
Has a unique reach on their posts of over 130K monthly.
Sees an average of 332K+ impressions monthly.
Consistently receives high engagement through comments, saves, and shares on all posts.
Drives users to the Rowan + Sage website, with 53% of monthly web traffic coming directly from social media.
In addition to a robust Instagram strategy, we’ve grown Rowan + Sage’s presence through Facebook retargeting campaigns, Pinterest marketing, bi-weekly email campaigns, SEO, and collaborations with companies such as The Herbal Academy, Biddy Tarot, and The School of Evolutionary Herbalism. These strategies have helped Rowan + Sage to grow as one of the leaders in their field of herbalism, brought Sarah & Ian opportunities to share their message through podcasts, articles, and teaching opportunities, and consistently drives e-commerce sales with an increase of 130% this year alone.
